\pard\plain\f4\fs18\b Once you're set up in slow flight, you'll do some turns and maybe climbs or descents, depending on what your instructor asks for.
\par
\par Make your turns shallow and coordinated when in slow flight. A shallower bank angle means a lower load factor than a steeper bank angle. Even with a shallow bank, you may need to add power as you turn to compensate for the increased load factor. And, coordination is important because if you do happen to stall the airplane, you can avoid a spin by keeping the ball centered.
\par
\par To descend, decrease power and adjust pitch to maintain airspeed. To climb, do the opposite; increase power and adjust pitch for airspeed.
\par
\par It's important to remember that you're flying only a few knots above stall speed. Any increase in angle of attack or load factor, or reduction in power will lead to a stall.\plain\f3\fs17\b

Arial
This is why you should do clearing turns before every maneuver. Clearing turns normally consist of at least a 180
change of direction, so you usually perform two 90
turns.
Arial
This gives you a good view of the area around your flight path, and helps you see and avoid any aircraft that may be in the vicinity.
Arial
One thing you need to consider anytime you're in the practice area is collision avoidance. When you're practicing a maneuver, it's easy to get distracted and forget that there might be other aircraft out there.
